Hi. I have installed the GIMP rpms, but it does not allow me to open
a GIF file. I get the message: Open failed: filename.gif
I have read all the docs I can find about GIMP. Still I am left
with a simple question: does the rpm version actually come without gif
capability? And secondarily, do I have to download the source to install
the GIF plugin? I'd really like to be able to do animated gifs as well.
Am I correct to assume that that is a separate plugin. If this
has been discussed (although I searched in dejanews a few days
ago), please answer me off line. Thanks.
Have a good day!
