Hi all,
I just wanted to install/upgrade some rpms...but there are dependencies tp
satisfy and some conflicts....
Can someone help...?
[root@localhost jacek]# rpm -Uhv hylafax-4.0-6.i386.rpm
/usr/bin/faxrm conflicts with file from mgetty-sendfax-1.1.5-1
/usr/man/man1/faxrm.1 conflicts with file from mgetty-sendfax-1.1.5-1
error: hylafax-4.0-6.i386.rpm cannot be installed
How could I install hylafax anyway...?
Then the upgrading:
[root@localhost rpms]# rpm -Uhv ImageMagick-4.0.1-1.i386.rpm
failed dependencies:
libm.so.6 is needed by ImageMagick-4.0.1-1
libc.so.6 is needed by ImageMagick-4.0.1-1
ld-linux.so.2 is needed by ImageMagick-4.0.1-1
[root@localhost rpms]# rpm -Uhv Imlib-1.1-1.i386.rpm
failed dependencies:
libm.so.6 is needed by Imlib-1.1-1
libgtk.so.1 is needed by Imlib-1.1-1
libglib.so.1 is needed by Imlib-1.1-1
libgdk.so.1 is needed by Imlib-1.1-1
libc.so.6 is needed by Imlib-1.1-1
ld-linux.so.2 is needed by Imlib-1.1-1
First where to get these rpms? I've only found older ones in the contrib
dir....and which rpms do contain these libs...?
And is it safe to upgrade libc??? Any hints...?
TIA
Jacek
