I have just recently configured configX for XFree86. When I do a startx, I get an error with regards to my pointing device. I did a mouseconfig, making sure that my mouse is microsoft compatible(serial), emulating 3 buttons, then going into configX with the same definition and pointing to /dev/cua0. Am I doing anything wrong? TIP: To find out what kind of adapter you have before running configX, run a program called SuperProbe. It is a very handy program.
