Hello,

I am new to Linux and would like to pose this question to the list:

Does Redhat Linux have all the abilities of the GNU CC utilities to
cross compile to an embedded Hitachi SH-1 microprocessor?

If so, do I need to jump through some hoops to get my code to the SH-1
target with Redhat Linux or is it very similiar to GNU? I was told
that Debian Linux does not contain the cross-compiling files that the
GNU CC has...and that using the GNU CC "Building a Cross-Compiler" for
embedded processor instructions would be applicable with Debian...

Any difference using Redhat Linux or is it a simply dropping the cross
     compiler into /usr/local?

Thanks for any help with this.

     Robert
