I've got redhat 5.0 and downloaded an rpm version of tkdesk from some
tdkesk site (don't remember where). didn't work anyway, had msgs
similar to your
failed dependencies:
libtk4.2.so is needed by TkDesk-1.0b5-2
libtcl7.6.so is needed by TkDesk-1.0b5-2
...errors.
Then I went to redhats ftp site, ie. ftp.redhat.com and went to the
contrib directory,
ie. /pub/contrib/hurricane/i386
and found another rpm for tkdesk. It was a later version than the
previous one which failed and it also contained the word "static" in
it's name. Anyway this one loaded first go with no problems and worked
straight away. It's a fantastic program too, I always have it up; not
too slow on my old 486 with 16M of ram either...
Don't know if this is any help, if you want I'll reply with the exact
name of this file (or mail it to you?) I won't be able to do this until
tomorrow though if this is what you want.
Anyway you might have solved the problem already...
