It should install just fine... I'm writing this from such an install.

***DON'T*** install another version of libc!!!!! RedHat 5 is something
of a new creature, and has all the libraries you need. You will
seriously break your system if you try putting in the old libc. You
should probably re-install your libc and glibc RPMs if you already have.

A few tips:
Make sure you're su'ed to root before you run ns-install.
It's possible some of the required packages on your system are corrupt
or missing. Do a 'rpm -V <package>' on, say, 'glibc', 'libc', and maybe
a few others to see what has been changed. You can also do a 'rpm -Va'
to see everything that's been modified, although this is time-consuming
and produces a fair amount of output.
Are you getting the core dump from the installer itself or from the
netscape binary? If there's a problem with the installer, you could try
installing it manually, as described in the file that accompanies it.
