Maybe by some moron but not by redhat (at least that is what redhat
is telling me). Anyway the point is that only list members are allowed
to post therefore it is difficult to spam the lists. If redhat were
to officially gate the lists they would have to eliminate that
policy (I think ) therefore opening the lists up to LARGE quantities
of SPAM. We used to get alot more when the lists were open, now I rarely see
that junk on the lists. The Linux lists at vger.rutgers.edu went through
this discussion a while back and once they ceased being gated the Spam
went to near ZERO. As long as we have Spamford and sons Usenet will SUCK.

Unix IS user friendly. It's just selective about who its friends are.
