Ya know, I've had the same problem....I'm using RH 4.2 with a 2.0.33 kernel
and get this, 80 M of RAM....now you tell me what the hell is going on! I
actively test devel kernels as well, and the newer kernels do a better job
at memory management, but you might want to check which X manager your
using....I use enlightenment and it is a big memory hog. But even without
enlightenment and running straight vanilla fvwmm95, I still have that sort
of problem....the only time the problem is evident, though, is when I am
playing a mp3 and running X and/or Netscape. But STILL, I am running 80 M
on this machine...it shouldn't hiccup like that.....so I'm kinda in the
same boat your in....again, like Philip, any info is appreciated!
