Trying to install apache rpm. Apparently previous version
was installed with a tarball? At any rate, "Rpm -q apache"
shows it installs, but upon startup I get:
starting httpd: httpd
open: No such file or directory
Cannot open lock file: /home/httpd/html/var/lock/subsys/httpd.10212
tried to remove lock files manually but I just get a different
number at the end.
Can anybody help me, please? I am already being threatened with
M$ Access, etc, if I can't resolve this and get a working web server
installed. Believe me, I tried hard
to do so before asking the list. PLEASE, any ideas.
