First of all I currently have the impression 5.1 is somewhat buggy.  How 
does it compare to 5.0 in terms of usability?  I've got some things 
working just fine (NS4.05, SO40, KDEb4, gs5.10, ppp, etc.) and I don't 
want to have the upgrade to assume it knows better than me about what I 
want.

Also, I would like to know if there is some effort in setting up some 
kind of GUI standard, not in the way something looks, but rather in how 
applications interact with each other (OLE, OpenLook, etc.)  It would be 
nice if we could have a standard set of GUI APIs where any app would 
communicate with other apps and whatever WM is used.
