I did get this working finally thanks to Fred Whipple and his suggestion
to get an RPM off the redhat site. I had built this by hand and
apparently thought, wrongly of course, that it was working and that it
was the MAC that was messed up. It was the linux box not working
properly the whole time.
Thank you for your input, and i appreciate the URL, i will visit there
shortly.
