Hello .. I'm looking for some documentation/information on how mail forwarding services like those at Netforward and how web-based email like those at Hotmail work in general. For the former, is it actually a mass sendmail alias database, or are there some other ways to handle such services? I would also like to find out how the system appends headers or footers to all those forwarded messages. For the latter, is it just a matter of having normal email accounts and a collection of CGI scripts to handle the mail?
