Hello,

I have an upgraded RedHat 5.0 i386 system which uses NIS for password and
group information. When I hit the "Send Now" button in Netscape mail,
Netscape complains that it is out of memory, and that I should close some
applications. Memory use is clearly not an issue, and the problem
disappears when I put my password entry in the local /etc/password file.
Does anybody know of a fix for this which is not such a kludge?

A quick scan on dejanews ("netscape AND memory") indicates that I am not the
only one with this problem. I didn't see this problem mentioned in a search
of the RedHat archives, so I thought I'd look for suggestions here.

This problem didn't occur prior to the upgrade 4.2 -> 5.0.

Thanks for any information.
