Indeed DOS command doesn't work neither . cygwin.lnk list itself but not what
is in the folder :
dir cygwin
Volume in drive C is WINDOWS

R doesn't lsit cygwin.lnk

I don't think R should recognize that. Windows wouldn't recognize it
either, if you used "dir cygwin" in a shell, for example.
