I don't use mobile phones personally. If I'm traveling someplace with an aide, I will ask her to take my phone. That way, if we get separated, I can ask some kind stranger to call that number and track her down. Having the cell phone with me help, since I cannot answer it.
For making hands-free phone calls, I sometimes use Dragon Naturally Speaking to control Skype on my PC (it costs about three dollars a month for unlimited calling in the domestic US) and sometimes I use Google home. one of my biggest problem with placing phone call is navigating voicemail.
