at first Is started writing this in pygtk-web thinking it was the right list, I guess I wasn't subscribed, now i am, i thought i was ;/ so sorry for reposting, please see below;
I have an application I'm working on called courtesyflush; it's in launchpad. what I am trying to do is grab_focus of a entry after selection of an item in the treeview and it seems to not be working. do I have to ungrab focus or something from the treeview before I do grab_focus() on the entry? I am trying to grab_focus of an entry inside the treeview selected signal function. also i noticed that if I make the treeview searchable sometime it works and sometimes it doesn't, I don't know how to duplicate it or anything. I don't want the treeview to be searchable because the search feature doesn't work as I'd like it to. any and all help in this matter is greatly appreciated, thank you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ok so i was able to duplicate it. what happens is if i select an item in the treeview it doesn't grab_focus as expected. but if i enter a character on the keyboard and it brings up the search for the treeview i delete the entered character and then enter a character that would be found in the search it starts to make the grab_focus work as expected so to recap: select and item in treeview, then press the letter a if no item in the treeview starts with a since it would jump to the item otherwise, then delete the letter a in he search that popped up and place an letter that would be found as the begining character in the treeview and makes the grab_focus to the entry work as expected is this a bug? or am i missing something? if you guys need code please let me know, i just figure you're all more experienced than i am and are gonna know what i'm talking about before i finish the sentence thank you in advance for any help in this matter, -Alex Goretoy
