Thanks! I guess I should really look at Inno Setup. (I have horrible nightmares from writing InstallShield scripts, but from the looks of it, Inno Setup isn't as crazy.)
I toyed with the bdist_wininst target, and wondered if it would be possible to somehow merge the py2exe process with the builtin distutils installer creator. Has anyone else looked at this? (Admittedly, this is getting off-topic for a pygtk list, but I mention it here because pygtk seems to require some extra packaging steps to handle the GTK+ installation directories.)
