The version of net/synergy is quite outdated, and the newer versions of it are not free IIRC. Some months ago, Aaron Bieber sent a new port for barrier, which is a libre fork of synergy. I've used it with mac machines and it works really well. Also, no need to ssh tunnel anymore as it includes encryption. I'm not using it right now but, as fas as I remember, it has GUI included.
