Right, I've been thinking of splitting lang/erlang into erlang16 and erlang17,
though I've not made up my mind yet (partly because lack of time).

This way we can keep riak (even their 2.0 branch seems to be tied to R16) and
the current ejabberd port as is, while moving forward with elixir.
Also, even if we can get Riak working with R16, ejabberd's major update is
going to be a major PITA.

So, I still think splitting erlang would be the way to go, feel free to start
the work in openbsd-wip.git (send me a private mail if you want access).
