This is _not_ a problem report... icons ? where, on the desktop ? clicking where ? on the panel ? on the desktop ? give details ! my first guess would be that you have xfdesktop not running.press alt-f2, and run xfdekstop. ditto for xfce4panel if it didn't appear. Landry
