I am trying to talk to my phone with obex over bluetooth. However, I am running into some trouble that appears to be a lack of understanding on my part.
I recently sent in an update to openobex and obexftp that I believe should give me access to my phone. Unfortunately I just get errors. What am I doing wrong? (although with this error, it could be the bluetooth adapters I have and so a question for misc@) With my adapter, I get this error from sdpquery rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ sudo sdpquery -a 00:1a:1b:a2:6f:59 Search FTRN sdpquery: sdp_open: Software caused connection abort With the borrowed adapter, it just hangs with no error. If I can solve this, I think it will get me much closer to making it work. (I can send a full dmesg if needed, but I think it is unnecessary at this point) rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ dmesg | head -2 OpenBSD 4.4-current (GENERIC.MP) #2038: Sun Dec 21 12:28:07 MST 2008 dera...@amd64.openbsd.org:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC.MP I have these two different ubt adapters I am trying: (mine) rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ dmesg | tail -2 ubt0 at uhub3 port 2 "Cambridge Silicon Radio Bluetooth" rev 1.10/5.25 addr 7 bthub0 at ubt0 00:02:72:01:e3:90 (borrowed from a friend) rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ dmesg | tail -1 ubt0 at uhub3 port 2 "ISSC ISSCBTM" rev 1.10/3.73 addr 7 rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ pkg_info | grep -e bluetooth -e obex bluetooth-libs-20081122 bluetooth network libraries bluetooth-tools-20081122 bluetooth network tools obexftp-0.22 file copying over the OBEX protocol openobex-1.4 OBEX protocol implementation rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ sudo btconfig ubt0 up class 0x020104 rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ sudo btconfig -vvv ubt0 ubt0: bdaddr 00:02:72:01:e3:90 flags=3<UP,RUNNING> num_cmd = 1 num_acl = 8, acl_mtu = 192 num_sco = 8, sco_mtu = 64 HCI version: 1.0b class: [0x020104] Desktop Computer <Networking> name: "rrlhcwks1001" voice: [0x0060] Input Coding: Linear PCM [16-bit, pos 0], 2's complement Air Coding: CVSD pin: variable options: -iscan -pscan -auth -encrypt -switch -hold -sniff -park -rssi ptype: [0xff1e] DM1 DH1 DM3 DH3 DM5 DH5 page timeout: 5120 ms features: <3 slot> <5 slot> <encryption> <slot offset> <timing accuracy> <role switch> <hold mode> <sniff mode> <park mode> <RSSI> <channel quality> <SCO link> <HV2> <HV3> <u-Law log> <A-Law log> <CVSD data> <paging parameter> <power control> <transparent SCO> rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ sudo btconfig ubt0 inquiry Device Discovery from device: ubt0 ....... 4 responses 1: bdaddr 00:1a:1b:a2:6f:59 : name "Vogon PA" : class: [0x522204] Cellular Phone <Limited Discoverable> <Networking> <Object Transfer> <Telephony> : page scan rep mode 0x01 : clock offset 3650 2: bdaddr 00:0a:95:33:7b:d1 : name "fenchurch" : class: [0x10210c] Laptop Computer <Limited Discoverable> <Object Transfer> : page scan rep mode 0x01 : clock offset 18491 3: bdaddr 00:15:0e:90:2f:be : name "Audio Streamer" : class: [0x080428] HiFi Audio <Capturing> : page scan rep mode 0x01 : clock offset 11649 4: bdaddr 00:17:f2:9d:46:07 : name "Forty-two" : class: [0x38010c] Laptop Computer <Capturing> <Object Transfer> <Audio> : page scan rep mode 0x01 : clock offset 19099 I immediately get these same messages whether bluetooth is enabled on my phone or not, it doesn't appear that it tries to connect at all. rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ sdpquery -a 00:1a:1b:a2:6f:59 Browse sdpquery: sdp_open: Software caused connection abort rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ sdpquery -a 00:1a:1b:a2:6f:59 Search FTRN sdpquery: sdp_open: Software caused connection abort rrlhcwks1001: andrew $ obexftp -b 00:1a:1b:a2:6f:59 -l / Browsing 00:1a:1b:a2:6f:59 ...
