I haven't noticed this. I just started jackd with 'jackd -d oss' in one terminal, and then ran 'pkill -9 jackd' in another. I was able to start jackd again with no issues. JACK is complex. it takes a while to learn what it can do and how to do it best. qjackctl has always been buggy, on every OS. it's handy, so it gets used, despite the bugs. not saying there aren't some bugs in the port that are specific to the port, there probably are. but I do think it's quite usable, and definitely adds functionality that doesn't exist otherwise. > > yes.
