I didn't realize it's preferable to have ffmpeg 9 in OpenBSD 8.0
but that makes sense now that sthen@ mentions it. So indeed a good idea
to move ahead with that.

Hmm, okay. I don't know enough about this to know what will and what
won't work, but ..

.. in the past I have received an email (or perhaps emails) from users
regarding Tor Browser and the ability to play videos, so I know for a
fact that some people use it like that.

If you're indeed willing to make a patch, that would be great (even
if it would be a big one). As I mentioned, I can't test in the next
1.5 weeks but if you or perhaps someone else is able to test the patch
then I'm fine with it being committed as soon as it's ready.
