I didn't realize it's preferable to have ffmpeg 9 in OpenBSD 8.0 but that makes sense now that sthen@ mentions it. So indeed a good idea to move ahead with that.

If you're indeed willing to make a patch, that would be great (even if it would be a big one). As I mentioned, I can't test in the next 1.5 weeks but if you or perhaps someone else is able to test the patch then I'm fine with it being committed as soon as it's ready. Caspar
