it's useful to report the errors when you get them, along with a
description of what you did to trigger them.

In this case -but it's pure speculation- I guess you used the 7.3 port
tree on -CURRENT, or viceversa, which ain't gonna work.

Refer to this page for how to fetch the port tree, under the heading
"Getting the ports and xenocara Trees" (xenocara is not needed for
port hacking.)
