etherape is broken with -fno-common, but it doesn't really seem to work in -current either (menus don't respond properly). I have a diff to update to a current upstream release but 1) it requires reinstating graphics/goocanvas2 which was removed (this is possible by disabling python support, but it is not really maintained any more), and more 2) it seems broken in the same way that the current version is.
Does anyone care enough to take it on? If so I'll send my diffs, it builds but will need some work. If not I propose to remove it. Any OKs for that?
