You rennounced maintainership publicly on this list and I took it because we heavily use SpamAssassin for a lot of users (>10'000). And you may be aware that I am the author of smtp-vilter, a mail content scanner that uses SpamAssassin. So I'd say SpamAssassin is in good hands, here, too.
As for the Horde stuff, I have updates here for every single Horde related port and once I have tested it enough, I will committ that.
