I attempted to install the Linux version of Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0.8, &
received a dialog stating that it required version 2.4 or higher of the GTK library
which I assume is installed in the redhat-base package. Is this updated often?
Thanks.

The Redhat port is getting old and some linux binaries can't properly
work, because gtk+2 is too old, cairo is missing, or because libstdc++
is obsolete. Swiftfox is another example of software that doesn't work.
