Currently registration for names in the .us namespace are free, and
admittedly not attractive.
Take an individual's .us name for example.
Registered properly an individual's .us name would be:
firstname-lastname.city-name.state.us
Comments are being solicited, (sorry about the late notice) for potential
changes to the .us namespace. You have until tomorrow, October 6, 2000.
This sounds a lot like what happened to .ca recently.
Let your voice be heard about the future of the .us namespace in an email to
