Just installed it from Debian repository. Using defaults it gives me a slightly smaller image than using Atril with its defaults.
After my post, I had converted footswitch2.pdf to a HTML file with pdf2html using its defaults. I got much better results than expected based on one previous use on a different PDF some weeks ago.
