Haven't used squirrelmail for quite a while, but isn't it just a web-based
interface?  Is it your only means to access your email, or can you read your
email using a desktop email client?  Also, it's not clear what you mean
below: when the password is incorrect, squirrelmail says so.  But if the
password is correct, what does it say?
