It's not the truth, it's your opinion, and framing it as a truth also feels insulting. KWin works fine for me, especially with the recent compositing re-work in Plasma 5.21. Everything is now buttery smooth. If it works less well for you, the solution is to file bug reports or get involved in the project to fix it, not revert to an ancient unmaintained version. Even if such an endeavor were made to work, you can't stay there forever; the world changes around you, and attempting to freeze the past in amber because it was more comfortable never works.
