Thank you for the patch :) i had tought about that feature several times, i wasn't a bit unsure since the concept of clickable tooltip is a bit weird, but if we hide it anyways after a certain timeout i suppose is ok.. (and those thumbnails really screams click at me, so probably making tham clickable would be the most intuitive way..) code wise (consider putting patches on reviewboard.kde.org, more convenient to comment on single parts) is mostly how i had in mind to do, the only thing that i think doesn't look too good i think is probably the way to pass the activation request from the tooltip to the applet (but is quite tricky so no many ways to do it indeed) what about using dyrectly KWindowSystem?
