ach.. let me try this again after actually edittign what i write instead of just sending it without proofing it out of exasperation: for files, we have nepomuk to provide the exact abstraction suggested. for things beyond the "files" and "folders" pov we have things like contact plasmoids for people, picture frames for images.. yes, this is stating the obvious. but that is why, before one goes on profoundly.. etc.. -- Aaron J.
