Hi all,

As you probably know by now, there currently are three working and one WIP
menu (Raptor, that should be made functional for 4.2) for KDE 4.x.

I've received a couple of suggestions to make Lancelot a default one, but I
for one am not a supporter of that idea, and don't think I will be in the
foreseeable future. (various reasons, not important for this topic)

What I would like to have, though, is some kind of mechanism in *all* menus
which could detect which ALI's are installed on the machine and to allow easy
switching from one to another.

Currently this is hard-coded and the options are fixed - kickoff <--> classic
menu.

I'm afraid that the category 'Application Launchers' would not be sufficient
to detect menus since that category is a bit semantically broader then just
/menus/.

So, any thoughts on this?

Cheerio!
