package: evolution-exchange
version: 2.12.2
I used to connect to my employer's Exchange server via
https://webmail.myorg.gov.uk/exchange. In a browser, that URL would
immediately pop up a dialog box asking for username and password, then
after successful login it would take me straight to my inbox. In
Evolution, it just worked and I could see my inbox as soon as Evolution
opened.
Now they've changed the webmail URL to http://webmail.myorg.net, and
something is different. Instead of the browser popping up a dialog box,
I'm redirected to a new page called
https://webmail.myorg.net/LONG_STRING_LIKE_A_UNIQUE_SESSION_ID/login.htm,
and the username/password fields are on the page itself rather than in a
dialog box.
Evolution is no longer able to authenticate me using this new mechanism.
It just pauses for a few seconds and says "an unknown error occurred".
Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?
Thanks,
Chris
