On many lists you get this kind of suggestion. Almost always the rebuttal
is that the people who are in a position to help would then mostly
congregate to the 'advanced' list leaving the helpless to fend for
themselves on the 'beginners' list.
In other words its usually a BAD idea.
I guess a better idea is if you are on a list to help others to just do it not moralize them. Forgot how it is as a newbie, start learning a new language.
