However, when I attempt to install, I receive the following: -- cut here -- Build complete. (It is safe to ignore warnings about tempnam and tmpnam). ... Installing PEAR environment: /usr/local/lib/php/ Parse error: parse error in ./php-4.3.3/pear/package-Archive_Tar.xml on line 1 *** Error code 255 -- cut here -- Line 1 of Archive_Tar.xml is: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?> Here are my configure options: ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs --with-mysql --with-xml --with-pgsql --enable-ftp --enable-short-tags --enable-calendar --enable-track-vars --with-tsrm-pth --enable-sockets --with-gettext --with-zlib-dir --with-jpeg --with-png --with-gd --with-exif --with-ttf --with-bcmath --with-pspell --with-pdflib --with-config-file-path=/var/www/conf The module does seems to work (phpinfo() reports the correct version), however attempting a command from the command prompt such as "php -v" hangs waiting for input. 4.3.2 does not have this problem. Reproduce code: --------------- $ ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs --with-mysql --with-xml --with-pgsql --enable-ftp --enable-short-tags --enable-calendar --enable-track-vars --with-tsrm-pth --enable-sockets --with-gettext --with-zlib-dir --with-jpeg --with-png --with-gd --with-exif --with-ttf --with-bcmath --with-pspell --with-pdflib --with-config-file-path=/var/www/conf $ make # make install Expected result: ---------------- No installation errors. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=25348&edit=1
