I’m very impressed by Bill’s setup, and his approach of doing it with stuff he already has, or can build himself. I only have 35mm to scan, so my setup is simpler. One thing I wanted to avoid was stray light from the camera-on-a-stand approach, so I use a Pentax Slide Holder K fitted to a macro lens and extension tube for 1X magnification on a full-frame camera. The diffuser on the slide holder can be screwed off and I replace it with a step-up ring to attach it to the light source, a 95+ CRI led light from JJC, which has its own diffuser. The set up is slightly different for unmounted slides and negs, where I use a strip-film holder mounted on the light source, and extension tubes rather than the slide holder. Like Bill I use pixel shift to increase the resolution, but the camera I use does it all in-body. -- %(real_name)s Pentax-Discuss Mail List To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
