We have five magnolia trees on our property. One, inside the pool patio, never loses its leaves, and has blossoms occasionally throughout the summer. Two smaller ones, that I planted more recently, lose most of their leaves in the winter, and have one or two blossoms at a time in late spring and early summer. The other two, which were here when we bought the property 25 years ago, are much larger, and grow along the edge of the wooded area to the west of our lot. They lose all their leaves over the winter, and then have many blossoms in spring, before any leaves appear. These blossoms are from those large trees, which are now in full bloom.
