I think that is referred to as “out of the box” thinking. I do still have the legacy Leica M3 and a small handful of lenses. I spent $400+ a few years ago getting the shutter repaired and otherwise getting it into usable condition. Someday I might actually put some film through it. The chances of my shooting any film with a Nikon are in fact slightly higher than with the Leica as I wouldn’t have to deal with the whole rangefinder thing.
