I wanted a Spotmatic in the early '70s but couldn't afford one. I bought a used
Mamiya 1000 DT and two lenses -- a Mamiya/ Sekor 55/1.8 and a Vivitar 200/3.5
for $100 from a guy who "repossessed" cars. Made a lot of money with that kit
shooting for Super Stock and Drag Illustrated Magazine. When the Mamiya died I
bought a Fuji 801 because the Spotmatic had been discontinued. I eventually
bought a used Pentax H3v, then numerous Spotmatics and finally the K- mount
cameras. Pentax has served me well. I'm a loyal dog.
