Beautiful bird! Workflow suggestion for you. I always use Nik Dfine for noise reduction and Nik RAW Pre-sharpener in combination to reduce noise and restore the sharpness otherwise lost. Usually pre-sharpen first followed by NR. There's a tickbox in Dfine for high-ISO conditions so it doesn't try to over sharpen the noise.
The Nik tools are free (courtesy Google), work really well, and work with PS Elements. They also work launched from Lightroom (via Export) and of course Photoshop.
