I never handled the LX, but the MX served me well for
many years.  I bought mine in 1976, and until the MZ-S
came along the MX always had a place in my camera bag.
Over the years it was accompanied first by an ME, then
an ME Super, a Super Program, and eventually the PZ-1p.

With the motor drive it could run through a 36-exposure
roll of film in around 7 seconds; with the battery grip
it was limited to a more affordable 2fps.

I've still got that original MX, and the second MX body
that I bought 25 years later once it became hard to find
spare parts (or, for that matter, places to get repairs).
