I think you're too critical, Jack. That is a fine image. Reminiscent of the Namaqualand daisies in Spring.
Was the gravel road a hairy experience with the 300' drop only metres away?

Subject: Bear Valley Gold

Yesterday, my wife came across a web article about a location, 'prox 50 miles west of us, called Bear Valley. The article author, not unexpectedly, had wildly over stated the magnificence of the place, but I brought home
a few shots.
Very hazy day with a thin sun, so to give it some punch, I went somewhat overboard with PSE10. The background foot hills reflect that effort. After leaving the hwy, we traveled some 17 miles (according to a road sign) of hillside gravel road that probably ran some 300' above a canyon stream.
Not planning a return trip.

Jack

Comments, of course, welcome.
