I bought my Battery grip when I bought the MZ-10. Didn't use the camera
without it, until last summer when I needed to minimize space. It won't
be coming off the camera again, the MZ-10 is too small for me without
the grip. 

Point is, the grip gives you a completely different feel for the camera
in your hands. 

(Oh yeah, using AA batteries is a nice benefit of it too).
