On 16/10/13, Godfrey DiGiorgi, discombobulated, unleashed:

An electronic view finder is very much a "real" viewfinder, Darren. Ask
Cotty ... It's been the viewfinder used in video cameras for a couple of
decades.

True!

Bob and I were talking about EVFs last night. He looked through my X-E1
and decided almost immediately that it wasn't for him. After a few weeks
now, I'm used to it enough that it doesn't bother me. I look on it
(quite literally) as an aid to framing and focussing. The very nice
thing about it, is that WYSIWYG - very much like a DSLR.

That said, I would in fact take an optical viewfinder over an EVF any
day of the week.

Except may Tuesdays.
