Can't speak regarding other groups, but having been around here for a while I can say that the complaints about Pentax have remained essentially unchanged - too far behind the competition wrt upgrades.

In the late 90's it was the lack of a pro-grade body, poor AF and and poor metering. (I won't try defining "pro-grade body" - if the archives go back that far there you can find hundreds of posts that do define precisely what that means, though they don't always agree with each other.)

Then it was the angst over the lack of a digital body.

Now the angst over the lack of full frame.

And the beat goes on...

Two questions:
1 Do people in the C, N, and F forums ever say "Pentax did that right" or
something similar? Do they say that about companies other than their own
camera mfr?
2 Do you get the pictures you like with this equipment? If not, why do you
use it? Who not get the gear that does the job?

(The think I like about the K5, functionally, is that red "X" on the top.
Kr, Kx, K30 need one. That will do what I want. All else is gravy.)
