Plus the paper was flat against the ground so it wasn't even in the right plane... I'm wondering if Alastair or Tanya got anything. I wasn't really taking the photos seriously but was enjoying the general spectacle instead. Some of the photos featured on the news sites were of a huge blown-out area around the sun, with a pretty bit of eclipse-shaped flare. Interesting effect but it might be hard to do well with a Pentax lens.
