Firstly, allow me to attempt to quelch the ensuing Rah-Rahs
sure to commence, as I have been after one of these for a
long time - since way before discovering the PDML ;^)
I had dropped in to the local mini-lab to pick up some b&w
paper for a project and noticed a somewhat large photographic
device in the display window. Sez I to the counterguy, "Is
Jim selling off his old 67?" Reply - "Yeah, wants to get
some stuff for his truck" Me - "How much?" He - "$500"
Me (after a few pertinent ?'s in re MLU) "Put 'sold' on it,
I'll be right back"
As I type, beside me sits an MLU 6x7 w/ standard prism and
105 f2.4 Super-Multicoated Takumar in most excellent condition.
Seemed like a steal at US$500 to me, and what better to do
w/ the ten $50's I've been stashing in the desk drawer! !8^)
So - I guess I have "down-sized" enough for consideration
of membership in that fellowship of oddballs so much bally-hooed
of late :^)
