If you think about it in terms of film, we are in the best shape in HISTORY. When the Pentax-A series of lenses was available, 800 was probably the fastest ASA/ISO in general use. With the incredible high ISO performance of the K-x and K-5 we are several stops ahead of what was previously available (in terms of handheld shots, higher possible shutter speeds, and "grain"/IQ).
